Who said that porn can’t be artistic? Mindpirates‘ Art Porn Week proves this assumption wrong with a four day event dedicated to showcasing some of the best international artistic approaches to pornographic experiences. Aimed at encouraging visitors to ‚get involved‘ there will be various interactive performances, as well as an ongoing art exhibition, film/documentary screenings and of course, plenty of hedonistic parties. Perhaps the most unusual sounding event is Friday’s ‚Lady G. & Dildo Orchestra‘, yes, orchestra.
48 Stunden Neukölln

No weekend guide would be complete without a hint of happening kiez Neukölln, and this weekend plays host to the one of the neighbourhood’s 15 minutes of fame – 48 hour event 48 Stunden Neukölln. Now in it’s 15th edition, over 200 art spaces in the area are participating in this year’s festival. Based on the theme ‚Change of Perspective‘, it will include art exhibitions, music compositions, theatre, dance and various performances exploring the evolving area which is viewed by some as a cultural paradise and others an over-saturated hell.
Horst Antes at Martin-Gropius-Bau
Friday 14th June
Now that the excitement around the Anish Kapoor exhibition has died down a little Martin-Gropius-Bau unveils its second current exhibition on German artist Horst Antes. Known internationally for his figurative paintings and sculptures, Antes has exhibited at Documenta three times as well as the Venice Biennale. Focussing on his painting the exhibition will span five decades and include around 90 pieces.
