New format for an Opening / A Winter’s Day

Opening Thursday 13th March – 8pm (Exhibition runs until Sunday 15th March)

If you’re bored of the traditional vernissage format of examining art hung on white walls then treat your senses to ‚A Winter’s Day‘, upcoming opening by Haute Presents. Featuring a range of artists including an award winning film maker and photographer, an illustrator and a glass artist, the evening will feature not only artwork but also live jazz and cocktails, all adding to the overarching theme of recreating the magic of a winter’s day.

Colonia Nova // Ziegrastrasse 15-19, 12057 Berlin

Opening / John Bock at Sprüth Magers Berlin

Friday 14th March – 6 until 9pm

Known for his eccentric performances conducted in enviroments made out of found materials, multi-media German artist John Bock will present his latest exhibition this Friday at Sprüth Magers Berlin. Entitled ‚Knick-Falte in der Schädeldecke‘ (or roughly translated break in the skull folding blanket), his latest exhibition promises to be just as colourful as his previous works.

Sprüth Magers Berlin //Oranienburger Straße 18, 10178 Berlin

Opening / Rodel Tapaya at Gallery Arndt

Friday 14th March – 6 until 9pm

Discovered through regional art contests, emerging Filipino visual artist Rodel Tapaya will unveil his first solo exhibition in Europe this Friday. Held at Arndt gallery, ‚The Chocolate Ruins‘ is named after the main piece in the show, an expansive painting exploring three disasters the Phillipines has faced during the last year: an earthquake, a typhoon and the widespread misuse of government money; each of the issues visually connected by the cacao plant

Arndt // Potsdamer Strasse 96, 10785 Berlin

Exhibition / Get real, Artusiast!

On now until 17th April

The art marketplace is a complex territory many never dare tread, and even more so with its development thanks to the web, but it doesn’t have to be like this. The art experts over at online art marketplace Artusiast are currently holding a pop up exhibition where art collectors and curators can not only buy artwork but discuss the evolving digital art marketplace. The exhibition, entitled ‚Get real, Artusiast!‘, will feature lithographs by Georg Baselitz, Markus Lüpertz, Daniel Richter, Olaf Nicolai and Jörg Immendorf, and an art historian will be on hand to guide you through the pieces with all booked appointments.
