On Friday evening, Kinderhook & Caracas offers a unique look inside the archive of Oswaldo Lares — the esteemed Venezuelan ethnomusicologist and founder of Convenezuela. Dive into the rich and varied musical traditions of South America’s northern coast and celebrate a hot Berlin art weekend in joy and harmony.

Kinderhook & Caracas // Kreuzbergstraße 42e , 10965 Berlin

Performance / Import Projects

Friday 3rd June – 7:30pm

With the timeless story of a woman who falls in love with a rock on e-bay, a reading of Noise Tribe Speaking-Out-of-Control, and the performance of Some Faggot Poems, Import Projects have prepared a performative intervention you won’t soon forget. Arrive early and plan to stay all night as you experience the work of Lindsay Lawson, Jenna Sutela, and Alex Turgeon.

Import Projects // Keithstraße 10, 10787 Berlin

Vernissage / Galerie Thomas Schulte

Friday 3rd June – 7pm until 9pm

Michael Müller’s soft, sensuous drawings are as visually seductive as they are perpetually surprising. Steeped in the surreal, Müller’s contemplative explorations of the human condition draw the eye and quicken the heart.

Galerie Thomas Schulte // Charlottenstraße 24, 10117 Berlin

Vernissage / Delmes & Zander Berlin

Friday 3rd June – 6pm until 9pm

The erotic sketches of William Crawford teem with a complex array of figurative tropes and classical influences, alas virtually nothing is known about the artist who created them. The discovery of more than 950 Crawford drawings in an abandoned house in Oakland initiated a cycle of exhibition and exploration both deeply personal and profoundly compelling.

Delmes & Zander Berlin // Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 37, 10178 Berlin

Vernissage / Acud Projektraum

Friday 3rd June – 7pm

Take a break from the punishing heat this Berlin art weekend with a group exhibition featuring the work of Matti Braun, Anna Jermolaewa, Wolfgang Tillmans, Jochen Lempert, Kerstin Cmelka, Markus Krottendorfer, Henrik Olesen and many more. With wit and range, Animal Photographers promises to spice up your Friday night without adding any additional heat.
