Vernissage / Terminal – Vision and Existence of Berlin Airports

Thursday 16th October – 7pm

Bizarre as it may sound, Berlin’s airports hold a tender place in the hearts of many of the city’s inhabitants. Despite the ongoing debacle of the never finished Berlin-Brandenburg airport, the city’s other hubs help us temporarily escape home, not to mention provide refuge from the city landscape in the form of disused airport Tempelhof. As the government plots the demise of each of these sites this exhibition seeks to present Berlin’s diverse airport collection through a jury selected collection of photography, polarizing the subject and presenting each airport in all its glory.

The final opening of the evening will consist of ’The Otolith Group: Medium Earth’, an exhibition including a film essay and other work focussing on the earthquake endangered geology of California.
