TOP 5 OPENINGS & EVENTS FOR YOUR BERLIN ART WEEKEND

Berlin’s top art openings and events (17th – 19th Dec 2015): Fête de la Boutique, KOW, District Berlin, Haus am Lützowplatz, and Image Movement

Philanthropic Art Party / Fête de la Boutique

Thursday 17th December – 7pm

Before the final wave of holiday shopping hits you like a ton of bricks and you find yourself tumbling down the rabbit hole into a world of glühwein, gifts, and gaudy sweaters, take some time to give back to the community that has nurtured and sustained you all year long. In partnership with Fête De La Boutique, Katrin Kampmann has organized a unique exhibition of 100 exclusive wood-cut prints. The entire net profit from this extraordinary series will be donated to financing language courses for refugees, so let your feet do the talking and make your way to Fête De La Boutique this Thursday night for a unique opportunity to support a population in need and the chance to take home a truly spectacular print while you’re at it.

Vernissage / KOW

Friday 18th December – 6pm until 9pm

Clemens von Wedemeyer’s forthcoming exhibition Cast Behind You The Bones Of Your Mother marks the eighth and final installment of KOW’s year-long exhibition of extraordinary filmmakers. Incorporating both sculpture and video, Wedemeyer’s work is an evocative exploration of scene in the grandest sense of the word, and a meditation on both medium and genre, tip-toeing between the realms of architecture, documentary, and the art object.
